About

Since you clicked the link to this page you obviously want to know something about me. I earn my money as a computer tech. Before you assume that I am some ultrageek wildly running from an office cube to the woods I will let you know that this blog (and some minor tech gadgets, etc.) ventures on the outer realms of my nerdiness. No, I do not really like Star Wars too much or Sci-Fi television series or crap like that. A side trail earlier in life and I would have been the fella fixing your stove or fridge instead cleaning spyware off your ratty old PC.

I spent my youth in South Georgia, near Okefenokee Swamp, stomping down old red clay roads and exploring the woods. My family moved back to Florida when I was twelve where I continued my woods exploring and adventuring. I’ve never moved far away from where I grew up. When I think about it, I guess I never have gotten off these dirt roads, and that’s OK with me.

I currently work in a state prison. Enough said about that.

I’m married to a wonderful woman who has a day job that drives her crazy too. We have a lot in common, and being outdoors with her is a little slice of heaven.

I’m trying to get out of the computer biz and hope that one day I can start up a small furniture shop or woodworking business.

We don’t have a television. I haven’t shopped in Wal Mart in several years. I buy a lot of my gear from Ebay.

OK, that’s all you need to know. Now that we are all friends, enjoy the blog!

Oh yes, since we are friends, visit me at Facebook and add me as your buddy!

The Adventurist

Hey man, nice blog. My name is Jason A. Hendricks, I run my own blog called The Adventurist. I am also the Editor for U.S. Outdoors Today, a new online magazine dedicated to the outdoors. To get to the point, I liked your gear review. We are currently looking for content to include in our launch of U.S. Outdoors Today and I would be interested in reprinting your review. We can’t offer money at this time, but we can offer plenty of exposure for your blog. If you might be interested, drop me an email and I will send you a bit more information.

Cheers-
